Animal Proteins

Proteins from animal sources such as beef, pork, poultry and fish have a higher value than proteins from plant sources. Animal proteins include every amino acid needed for growth, including Lysine, Methionine and Tryptophan, which are deficient in vegetable sources. They are also an excellent source of Zn, Fe and other trace minerals.

By nature, rendered products are variable in composition. MOPAC has identified these variables and combines the ingredients to make a high-quality, consistent blended product. We assure this quality by blending proteins with a concentrated balance of amino acids and through a comprehensive Quality Assurance program, backed by our own on-site laboratory.

Protein blends

MOPAC’s protein blends start with a solid base of fresh rendered product produced on site in Souderton, PA. In addition to these homemade proteins, MOPAC includes other quality proteins like those made at our Mountain View Rendering facility in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. This plant proudly uses only fresh rendered chicken and turkey offal to produce its quality poultry-by-product meal, blood meal, feather meal and poultry fat. Unlike many facilities that produce similar products, this offal is either generated on site or travels a short distance. Rendering this product quickly produces the freshest possible product and keeps peroxide levels low for a much longer shelf life. These, in addition to the porcine meat and bone meal, as well as porcine blood meal, can supply protein diets to meet the most specific dietary needs, with a variety of stabilizers current with industry standards.
